Three friends with eight kids between them plus one purple hippo equals a recipe for a unique toy and gift emporium in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida. Twinkles is the brainchild of Alison Cohen, Lishka Wittels and Martha Rodriguez, longtime friends who opened the store in October 2004.


To call Twinkles just a toy store would be ignoring all its other features. Twinkles is a toy store. And Twinkles is also a gift shop selling a multitude of unique gift items. We create beautifully arranged gift baskets and incredibly cool candy cakes for any occasion, whether it's a special event, corporate gift, holiday thought or centerpiece. In the summertime, parents and friends can arrange for their favorite camper to receive camp care packages, making the camper and their bunkmates quite excited for each Twinkles care package.

Our friendly emporium has also become a popular after school hang-out for kids who come with loose change to get a candy fix. We’ve created a neighborhood feeling and a fun, safe environment for our kids.

What makes Twinkles special is the attention to detail. Every item has been specifically chosen — from the baby gifts to the toy cars, from accessories to jewelry. Nothing makes it onto our shelves unless the three of us agree on the quality of the product.
